With the revelation today that Malaysia flight MH370 was tracked by radar off the island of Pulau Perak – almost the opposite direction from where it was supposed to be, this writer can only conclude that hijacking is a real possibility.
Some facts:
MH370 was at least 350 miles off course yet no contact whatsoever was established with the aircraft meaning the transponders were off and yet the Boeing 777 has extensive backup systems and emergency beacons which would have become active on impact.
According to relatives some of the passengers cell phones are still ringing (functioning).
Interestingly the U.S. Navy has at least one P-3 Orion searching the exact area where the plane was tracked despite the fact that it was the wrong area? Don’t know what to make of this one except maybe someone knows something?
The fact is (and don’t listen to accounts of previous incidents in 1985 some 30 years ago) that it is virtually impossible for a modern plane like the 777 to just disappear, even over the ocean. Given the lack of any evidence of a crash it is becoming more likely that the plane was hijacked, especially with the Iranian and false/stolen passport connections. Look at a map and you’ll see that Bejing is to the Northeast of Kuala Lumpur and Iran is almost the exact same distance to the Northwest.
